WHO WE ARE

BRAVEAURORA is a non-profit, independent association. Since 2009 we have been supporting children at risk, their families in Ghana and sustainable village development.

Small moves – big change!
BRAVEAURORA works with a volunteer board in Austria and a local Ghanaian team. We wish for real prospects for children in Africa and a dignified life of these children in their families. We are working together with local people on a positive future and are convinced that every step, and no matter how small, counts as “small moves – big change” in the spirit of our motto!

Our roots
In 2008, Julia, Sarah and Tamara got to know the inhuman conditions in Ghanaian orphanages alongside their internship as social workers. With an email to relatives and acquaintances, they have been asking for donations to improve an orphanage in the village of Guabuliga. The echo was great and first regular meals could be funded. Together with Christin, who got to know the project through the e-mail, the association BRAVEAURORA was finally founded in 2009 with the goal to provide sustainable support to children and their families in the long term.
