The BRAVEAURORA Social Counselling Service is a free service point where people can come up with problems of various kinds. There, they are professionally looked after by trained social workers of the BRAVEAURORA team and, if necessary, forwarded to other experts and social institutions. Regardless of whether it’s about getting started in school, with classmates or in a relationship, with alcohol, drugs, depression, your own sexual orientation or with violence, the social counselling in Guabuliga provides a non-judgmental place where people talk openly and support is offered.
One focus of the consultation is the educational work in the field of sexology, which is specifically aimed at young people and especially young girls. Talking about sexuality is a taboo in many societies. Enlightenment often does not take place, which causes many uncertainties. Advice to young people should therefore help young women and men to be well informed about, for example, contraceptive methods, unprotected sexual intercourse and unwanted pregnancy.
BRAVEAURORA wants to strengthen the decision-making ability of adolescents, whether, when and how often they want to have sexual intercourse and to be able to express this clearly.
