Strengthening Vocational Excellence Beyond Practical Training.

BRAVEAURORA facilitated a two-day National Vocational Training Institute (NVTI) examination for program participants in Walewale as part of a deliberate effort to ensure that women who have undergone vocational training receive formal, nationally recognized certification.
While many women acquire practical skills in dressmaking and hairdressing, the absence of certification often limits their ability to secure contacts and access further opportunities. Undertaking the NVTI #examination, therefore, serves as a critical step in validating their competencies and positioning them within the formal vocational system.

The program brought together participants from Mimima, Gbeo, Sawaba, and Diani communities, including 19 #hairdressers and 17 #dressmakers. In addition to supporting them to sit for this examination, BRAVEAURORA also presented start-up kits to the participants to support them put their skills into practice and begin building sustainable livelihoods. By combining certification with practical support, BRAVEAURORA is not only strengthening their technical abilities but also enabling them to gain professional #recognition that enhances their credibility and earning potential.
At BRAVEAURORA, we believe that true empowerment goes beyond training. It means walking alongside #women as they grow in confidence and access opportunities that improve their lives and communities.
