Abdul is the Executive Director on site and manages all BRAVEAURORA projects and activities in Ghana reporting to the Country Director and Board. He joined the team in December, 2015. Abdul has M.A. in NGO Management and Rural Development and B.A. in Planning and Rural Development from the University for Development Studies. He worked with Camfed Ghana under the Enterprise and Leadership Development Team before joining BRAVEAURORA. He is a Changemaker Scholar on Ashoka’s Future Forward Programme. His work towards a world in which rural dwellers have the power to define their own reality has seen him support causes like The Hunger Project, Global Citizen, ONE and Echoing Green.

Abubakari Alhassan, M.A.

Abu joined the team in 2014 as the Education Coordinator; he is currently the Livelihood Promotion Coordinator. Abu has a Master of Arts degree in Environmental Security and Livelihood Change from the University for Development Studies in Tamale and a BSc. in Business Administration from Ostfold University College; Norway. He also acquired a Higher National Diploma in Secretaryship and Management from Tamale Polytechnic. He has years of experience in education after obtaining a Teachers’ Certificate A from Tamale Training College. Before joining the team, he served with institutions including; Centre for Rural Health Promotion and Institute of Advanced Education. Abu has an invaluable skillset.
Simon Yaan Suuk, M.B.A.

Simon is the local financial and administrative director and manages the BRAVEAURORA budget in Guabuliga. He oversees the cashier, creditors and debtors on site. In this context, he prepares monthly statements, manages cash flow management and sets up the annual financial statements. Since November 2018 he has been part of our team. Simon holds a Masters in Business Administration (M.B.A.) and has professional experience in various companies, as well as in accounting.
Eklimatu Ali-Nuhu, Dipl.

Eklimatu is a junior social worker with the team. She joined the organisation in 2013 to supplement the efforts of Susana. Eklimatu holds a Diploma from the School of Social Work in Osu, Accra. Before joining the team, Eklimatu worked with the Department of Social Development, Electoral Commission of Ghana and the Sandema District Hospital. Her wide experience has given her extensive knowledge on the sector area. Eklimatu is very passionate about her job and has thus been vocal in our sensitisation programmes.
Gabriel Aminu Bugri
Education Program Officer
Gabriel is the Education Program Officer at BRAVEAURORA. He works with a lot of zeal and passion. Gabriel has Bachelor of Science and a Diploma in Development Management all from the University for Development Studies. He equally has a Diploma in Education from the University of Education, Winneba. After graduation, he joined the Northern Development Authority (NDA) as an Administrative Officer. He has since been an agent of Development in his Community. Gabriel is humble and caring.
Samuel Azure Abeene

Samuel works as the Resource Mobilization Officer to ensure resources are readily available for the implementation of BRAVEAURORA projects and activities. He joined the team in May 2023 after an impactful time with TradeAid Integrated, where he worked as the Assistant Finance Officer. He has worked in several positions with other Non Governmental Organizations before joining BRAVEAURORA. Over the years and in line with work, Samuel has developed an unmatched passion for empowering women and the youth to become successful entrepreneurs and job creators.
Fuseini Sumaila

Fuseini joined the team as a local volunteer in the year 2021. His contribution and commitment to serve local communities and vulnerable populations offered him the opportunity to secure a Programme Assistant role within the team in May 2023.
He has a diploma in Community Development from Rural Development College and is currently pursuing a degree program in Community and Organisational Development. He is a change agent to society and enjoys working closely with children, young women and women groups. After graduating, he was privileged to work with the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development in the West Mamprusi Municipality and Madamfo Ghana Foundation which has equipped him with essential knowledge in community development.
Fuseini is passionate about his work and always ready to learn and improve.
Zenabu Saaka
Cleaner
Zenabu was employed as a cleaner in 2009. She has since been responsible for the general tidiness of all BRAVEAURORA offices. In addition to that, she provides general support to team members.
Alidu Mahamadu
Security
Alidu is the night-watchman of the BRAVEAURORA buildings. He has been working with the organisation since February 2020. Alidu takes his role seriously and ensures that all the organisation's properties are safeguarded.
Rachia Yakubu
Cleaner
Rachia Yakubu joined the Brave Aurora team in the last quarter of 2022. She is responsible for cleaning and maintaining a hygienic office space for the team in Walewale. She has also assisted in other casual activities in the office. She was previously engaged with Zoomlion Ghana before joining the Brave Aurora team. Madam Rachia has special interest in children and loves spending quality time with them, either through playing games, telling stories, or simply engaging them in conversations.
Shahadu Kasim alias Malam
Gardener
Malam is employed as a Gardener at BRAVEAURORA. He is mainly responsible for the local greening-project. He works with other local farmers to produce organic foods for the community.
Mohammed Adams
Driver
Mohammed Adams joined the BRAVEAURORA team as a driver in 2020. He is a dependable staff with years of experience in driving. Mohammed prides himself in his clean driving record which is a direct result of his diligence, focus and an excellent sense of direction. Mohammed is very passionate about his work and the development of rural communities.

Baba Seidu

Baba was born in Guabuliga, stems from the Chiefs-family and spent his childhood and youth in this remote village. Later, he studied in the USA where he obtained his Master of Business Administration (MBA). Baba Seidu and his family returned to Accra, Ghana in 2009, after living in the USA for more than 20 years. He established his own enterprise in Accra. Baba still has a strong personal relationship with Guabuliga and visits regularly.
